Newton Abbot, South Devon

Personal Care Retirement Home
Forde Park Retirement Home

Situated just a few doors away from the nursing home Forde Park Retirement Home is a smaller home in a lovely Edwardian building. The retirement home is home to fourteen elderly people who do not require nursing care but nevertheless are unable to live at home due to frailty or dementia.

Care Assistants: The home is staffed 24 hours a day by a team of care assistants who will ensure that all of the personal care needs of the residents are met.

Activities Organiser:  A full time activities organiser is employed to ensure that residents in both homes are stimulated with daily activities, trips ‘out and about’ and annual events such as the Christmas Pantomime and the summer fete.

Domestic & Kitchen staff: Kitchen and domestic staff are here to ensure that the home is kept immaculately clean, that laundry is done and that nutritious meals are prepared every day.

Maintenance Team: The maintenance team are on hand to ensure that the fabric of the home is well maintained and to keep all of the equipment which are relied upon by our staff and residents are kept serviced and fully functional. We have an ongoing re-decoration program which ensures that our décor is kept up to date and fresh.
